BMW is a German manufacturer of luxury cars and motorcycles.its headquarters is in Munich,Bavaria.The company,which was first founded in 1916 as a maker of aviation engines, encountered difficulties when its West German facilities were badly attack during World War II. Resilient in the face of adversity, BMW made a strategic shift in 1962 by introducing the New Class, which marked the beginning of manufacturing sport-oriented cars alongside luxury sedans and coupes. The BMW 3 Series compact sedan, BMW 5 Series mid-size sedan, BMW 6 Series luxury coupe, and BMW 7 Series large luxury sedans are notable examples.
In 1978, BMW launched its performance division, BMW M, and unveiled the inaugural M car, the M1. This move further solidified BMW’s presence in the automotive industry. Alpina, BMW Motorrad, Mini, and Rolls-Royce is under the BMW Motorrad brand.
The current BMW lineup includes sedans and coupes within the Series range, SUVs denoted by the X and Z series, two-door roadster coupes, electric and plug-in hybrid models classified under the I series, and high-performance versions of BMW models designated as the M series.
